Live Broadcast Suicide - An Internet First

(Global Associated News) - For Michael Jackson, the Internet will be a vehicle for broadcasting the end of his life.

In what is being described as one of the most disgusting, despicable, and horrifying events ever proposed, Michael Jackson plans to broadcast his suicide live on the Internet. Since suicide and self mutilation is illegal in most countries, the location of the broadcast for the Internet suicide has not been made public.

The live Internet broadcast will occur on New Years Eve - 2005, and will be free to anyone in the world who has an interest in witnessing a quick and relatively painless death. Requiring no assistance, Michael Jackson will self initiate a trigger-like mechanism that will release a suspended 3000 pound iron slab onto himself, thereby crushing his entire upper torso and head instantly. The device will then retract the heavy slab, revealing the crushed remains. Video cameras will capture a wide angle view of the mechanism before, during, and after the impact, while a zoom camera will focus on his head and torso to capture the intense destruction of his body. The event will also be available via downloadable video files should the server experience capacity problems or ISP blocking in some parts of the world.

When asked why he would do such a thing, Michael Jackson told UJ reporters, "I have had a life full of failures, and things seem to just keep getting worse for me. I had a fairly good childhood and young adult life, however, the pressures of work, bills, and general responsibilities have made me miserable. I hate my life! I've thought about killing myself through more conventional means, but I think it would be cowardly and just another silent failure in my life. If I can do something spectacular like killing myself live on the Internet, I might be remembered and make this world a better place. If laws are created or if someone creates a new suicide prevention group because of my actions, then I've made a difference in this world, and I can die with an accomplishment to my credit."
